I highly recommend HBOT at HOPE Hyperbaric!
After reading The Oxygen Revolution, The Oxygen Cure, Oxygen Under Pressure, I was hopeful that HBOT might help my son who has several health challenges: Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, ADHD, and Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID). For all conditions, I was told that there is no cure.
With a weakened immune system, people with Common Variable Immunodeficiency get sick frequently. My son’s IgM (antibody) levels were consistently very low at 17. He had a weak constitution, and because he got sick frequently, he’s missed out on so much of life. The only conventional treatment option for CVID is weekly infusions. I was looking for a cure. After learning about HBOT, I was hopeful that it would help my son. With this in mind, we committed to 5 dives a week for 8 consecutive weeks, totaling 40 hours.
We visited other HBOT facilities, and HOPE Hyperbaric is unique for several reasons. First of all, the HOPE tech, “Ms. Cheryl,” is warm and loving and has truly become my son’s #1 cheerleader! It makes such a difference when a child feels supported. Before our first visit, Cheryl made sure that we knew to wear 100% cotton clothing, have no electronics, and use no products containing petroleum. When we arrived, she fitted my son with a mask the correct size for his face. She put his oxygen mask on at each visit, ensuring that it was placed properly. Cheryl also made sure that we had water in the chamber, books to read, and gum to chew (if we wanted it). She would even play my son’s favorite videos to watch through the chamber’s window. Cheryl always slowly increased the pressure and checked in frequently to make sure that everyone’s ears were ok. Additionally, she showed me how to depressurize from inside the chamber if there ever were a need. Cheryl’s care made a world of difference to us!
Additionally, the HBOT chamber that we used at HOPE Hyperbaric is large enough that it easily fit both me and my son. In fact, he and I have played cards inside the chamber! I truly valued that I was able to be in the chamber with my son to make sure that he was comfortable and doing well. The inside of the chamber is also well-lit, so we never felt claustrophobic. Because we were comfortable, the time passed quickly. Another facility we checked out had a large chamber, but I would not have been allowed inside the chamber with my son. He would have had to go in with strangers. And the pressure they offered was a one-size-fits-all approach. This did not work for us.
After a few sessions of diving at HOPE, my son reported feeling “stronger.” He started doing pushups, running, jumping, climbing, etc… His whole demeanor changed, and he didn’t get sick once during those 8 weeks! He continued feeling stronger and stronger as the weeks passed. At the end of the 8 weeks, we rechecked his lab work. His antibodies indicating Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis decreased dramatically and his IgM level doubled! His overall constitution is stronger, but, more importantly, he’s happy because he’s feeling better! He’s finally enjoying and participating in life instead of just managing to get through the day.
Our experience with HBOT at HOPE Hyperbaric changed our lives in the best ways possible.
I encourage you to try HBOT at Hope Hyperbaric. Miracles happen there!

Why we started Hope
Hope started in 2006 after years of two local families traveling out of the country in order to give their children 100% oxygen hbo.
The families eventually came together and, through dedicated cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and autoimmune support resources, realized that they had could provide value to the community.
Families use hyperbarics in North Reading MA or at off-site locations, like in an assisted living facility, clinic, or at home. Prices are the lowest in the country.
mHBOT - mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy
We do all training and maintenance so that you can do your HBO at home or in your local clinic.
Complementing mHBOT with traditional HBO is a great way to stay healthy and share with all family members.
Like our Facebook page and meet other HBO users in the community and see how they're complementing other modalities with 100% oxygen.
